WALL AND LOBBY GRAPHICSChicago, IL

Interior Wall Graphics for nonprofit organization in Chicago, IL

Special Olympics Illinois supplied their artwork. Simply Divine Signs & Wraps printed it and installed it on four surfaces in their Chicago office: a tall wall in the open work area, the front of the reception desk, an entry door, and a window.

§ The Challenge

What the customer needed

The four surfaces are not the same thing to work on. A tall painted wall, the front of a reception desk, a door, and a window each take vinyl differently, and the mark has to sit square and read the same weight on all of them.

§ The Solution

What we did

Special Olympics Illinois supplied the artwork. We printed it and installed it. The wall in the open work area carries the logo with the athlete oath in type below it, placed high where the wall runs up to the exposed joists. The front of the reception desk carries the logo on a white panel. An entry door and a window carry it as well. There is no photography anywhere in it, just the mark and the type.

§ The Result

What changed after install

The Chicago office carries the artwork on four surfaces: the wall in the open work area, the front of the reception desk, an entry door, and a window.

§ Why This Project Matters

Why this kind of work pays off for a local business

Four surfaces means four different jobs. Vinyl on a painted wall does not behave like vinyl on a door or on glass, and the mark has to keep the same weight and the same color on all of them. On a job like this that is most of the work.
