Warranty & product care.

Written in plain language so business owners understand what is and isn’t covered after installation. This page is a customer overview, not a legal document; specific written estimates and manufacturer product documentation govern in the event of a conflict.

Two separate warranties

Every vehicle-wrap and sign project is covered by two independent warranties that work together but are not the same thing:

  • Installation workmanship warranty: provided by Simply Divine Signs & Wraps and covers how the product was installed.
  • Manufacturer material / product warranty: provided by the manufacturer of the specific film, laminate, ink, substrate, LED, or sign component, and covers how that product performs.

Coverage varies by system. Consult the current manufacturer document for the specific product used on your project for exact terms.

Our one-year installation workmanship warranty

For twelve months after installation, we will address workmanship issues attributable to how we installed the product: for example, edges that lift due to installation technique, or seams that separate under normal use.

This warranty does not cover damage from accidents, collisions, vandalism, weather events, abrasive washing, pressure washing at close range or high temperature, contact with solvents or fuel, aftermarket coatings applied over the graphic, or damage caused by the substrate underneath the graphic (rust, failing paint, body filler, or previously repaired panels).

Manufacturer material warranties

Vehicle-wrap films, laminates, inks, sign substrates, LEDs, and other components are covered by their respective manufacturer’s written product warranty. Duration, qualifying conditions, exclusions, and remedy vary by system and by application (vertical vs. horizontal, interior vs. exterior, vehicle vs. building).

We do not represent universal or blanket manufacturer coverage on your behalf; we help you understand what applies to your specific project and, when a claim is warranted, coordinate documentation with the manufacturer.

Estimated service life

Service life is an expectation, not a warranty. It depends on film system, ink, laminate, application surface, geographic exposure, garage vs. outdoor storage, wash habits, and mileage. Central Illinois exposure (sun, salt, temperature swings, gravel) is a real factor. We’ll give you a realistic expectation for your project in writing.

Paint, removal, and vehicle condition

Vehicle wraps require sound factory paint in good condition. Wraps installed over aftermarket paint, repaired panels, body filler, rust, or oxidized clear coat may not perform as expected and are not covered by a paint-safe removal expectation.

We do not guarantee damage-free removal on every vehicle. Removal risk increases with age of the wrap, sun exposure, film system, and paint condition. We disclose risk in writing before installation on any vehicle where removal is a concern.

Horizontal surfaces

Horizontal-facing surfaces (hoods, roofs, upward-facing trailer tops, flat sign faces exposed to direct sun and standing water) experience the harshest exposure and have shorter expected service life than vertical surfaces. Manufacturer warranties often treat horizontal exposure as a separate category with reduced duration or additional exclusions.

Cleaning and care

Hand-wash with a mild automotive detergent and clean water. Avoid pressure washers at close range, high pressure, or high temperature. Avoid brushes with stiff bristles, automated car washes with abrasive brushes, and solvents (fuel, oil, tar remover, engine degreaser). Do not apply wax, ceramic coatings, or sealants over the wrap unless the manufacturer’s current documentation specifically approves it for that film.

For signs, dust with a soft microfiber cloth. Clean acrylic and painted faces with a mild non-ammoniated cleaner. LED components should not be sprayed directly.

Physical damage, normal wear, and third-party work

Physical damage, including rock chips, scrapes, curb impacts, door dings, collisions, and vandalism, is not a warranty item. Normal wear from sun, weather, and use is not a warranty item beyond what the manufacturer warranty explicitly covers. Modifications or repairs performed by a third party may void applicable warranties.

Production exclusions

Warranty coverage assumes the wrap or sign was produced using our recommended film, laminate, ink, and construction. If a customer directs us to use a specific material, print method, or construction that we would not otherwise specify, we document that in writing and applicable warranties may be limited to what the manufacturer of that chosen material covers.

What to do if you have a warranty concern

Contact us as soon as you notice an issue. Photos of the affected area, a description of when it appeared, and any recent washing or repair history help us determine whether the concern is a workmanship item, a manufacturer material item, or a care item and route it appropriately.
