Commercial vehicle wrap quote guide

Every commercial vehicle wrap and fleet graphics project is custom quoted. This page explains what shapes a written quote in Bloomington-Normal and Central Illinois, and what to send us so the first number you see is accurate.

What shapes a quote

Vehicle size & complexity

Bigger panels take more vinyl, but curves, recesses, door handles, and bumpers drive labor more than square footage. A flat-sided cargo van can be simpler than a curvy modern sports car.

Coverage

Cut-vinyl identity vs. partial wrap (rear quarters, hood, or one side) vs. full wrap (every painted panel). Coverage is one of the biggest levers in a quote after vehicle size.

Vinyl & laminate selection

Cast vinyl from 3M or Avery Dennison is the standard for color changes and full wraps — thinner, more conformable, and rated for long-term outdoor use. Printed wraps are protected with a compatible protective overlaminate. Calendered vinyl saves money on flat panels and short-term promos but isn't appropriate for full wraps.

Design complexity

A clean logo-and-color layout prints and installs faster than a custom illustration with photographic imagery, gradients, or panel-matched art across multiple seams. Reusing existing brand assets keeps design hours down.

Surface condition & prep

Factory paint in good condition wraps cleanly. Aftermarket paint, prior wrap removal, oxidation, rust, or body damage require additional prep — reviewed at the consult and reflected in the quote.

Fleet programs

Fleet programs with reusable vehicle templates let one design roll across multiple units. Templates, proofs, and print setup are built once, and additional units are scheduled around your dispatch.

Frequently asked

How is a vehicle wrap quoted?

Every commercial vehicle wrap and fleet graphics project is custom quoted. Pricing depends on the vehicle, coverage, design complexity, materials, surface condition, preparation needs, and installation requirements. Send us the vehicle year, make, model, body style, requested coverage, and photos to get a written quote.

What information should I send to get an accurate quote?

Vehicle year, make, model, and body style; requested coverage (cut-vinyl identity, partial wrap, or full wrap); design direction and any existing brand assets (logos, colors, fonts); photos of the vehicle (all four sides) and any existing wrap or damage; and your target install window. The more you share, the tighter the quote.

Cast vs. calendered vinyl — which is right for my project?

Cast vinyl — such as premium cast wrap film from 3M or Avery Dennison — is thinner, more conformable, and rated for long-term outdoor use — the right choice for full wraps and color changes. Calendered vinyl is thicker and better suited to flat panels, short-term promos, and simple decals.

How long does a vehicle wrap last?

A professionally installed cast-vinyl wrap is designed as a multi-year graphics system, but expected service life varies by the exact film and laminate, horizontal versus vertical exposure, vehicle storage, use, climate and cleaning practices. Hoods, roofs and other upward-facing surfaces generally weather faster than vertical panels. Expected service life is not a manufacturer warranty period.

Does a wrap damage the paint?

A wrap can help shield sound factory paint from ordinary sun exposure, road grime and light surface abrasion. It is not a substitute for paint-protection film, and damage-free removal is not guaranteed. Previously repaired paint, aftermarket paint, failing clearcoat, rust, chips and other substrate problems can increase removal risk.

How long does installation take?

Typical installation timing varies with vehicle size, wrap coverage, vehicle condition, and production scheduling. Planning windows for design, print, and install are shared at the consult and confirmed when the project is booked. Fleet rollouts are staggered so downtime is spread across vehicles.

Do you offer fleet programs?

Yes. Fleet programs with reusable vehicle templates are supported — once tooling, proofs, and print setup are built for one vehicle, we can roll the same design across additional units. Each fleet program is custom quoted based on unit count, vehicle types, and scheduling.
