Illuminated Channel Letters & Flex Face Pylon Cabinet for restaurant in Bloomington, IL
Simply Divine Signs & Wraps fabricated and installed front-lit channel letters and a backlit flex face pylon cabinet for Kobe Ramen in Bloomington, IL — a complete on-brand storefront and roadside identity package for a new ramen, pho, and poke concept.
§ A. The Challenge
What the customer needed
Kobe Ramen was opening a new ramen, pho, and poke restaurant and needed a complete exterior identity before doors opened — storefront letters that read across the parking lot and a pylon panel on the shared monument that pulled drivers off the main road. The pylon slot was an older cabinet that needed a fresh face without rebuilding the structure.
§ B. The Solution
What we did
We fabricated front-lit channel letters with the custom ramen-bowl logo cabinet for the storefront facade, sized and spaced for the brick band above the entrance. For the road sign, we retrofitted the existing pylon with a printed flex face — translucent vinyl over the cabinet's existing lighting, color-matched to the brand. Permitting, electrical coordination, and night-time install were handled in-house so the restaurant opened with a finished identity at every touchpoint.
§ C. The Result
What changed after install
The storefront now reads as a finished, intentional restaurant identity from the parking lot, and the pylon flex face turns the shared monument into a beacon visible from the main road at highway speed. Both pieces were live for opening day, and the restaurant has used the night shots across launch marketing and delivery-app profiles.

§ E. Why This Project Matters
Why this kind of work pays off for a local business
For a new restaurant, exterior signage is the single biggest day-one marketing investment. Channel letters communicate permanence and quality at the door, and a backlit pylon flex face pulls drive-by traffic during the exact hours restaurants need it most — a combined storefront and roadside identity gives a launching brand maximum first-impression coverage from opening day forward.

What type of sign is best for a business storefront?
It depends on visibility goals and the building. Lighted channel letters and lit cabinet signs perform best for after-dark visibility. Dimensional letters give a premium daytime look. Window graphics work well when you need branding plus messaging on glass. We help you choose the right option based on your location, sight lines, and budget.
