Multi-Location Lighted Sign Program for restaurant and retail group in Bloomington, IL
Simply Divine Signs & Wraps handled signage for six locations across Bloomington, Normal, and East Peoria over about 19 months. Channel letters, lightboxes, lighted capsules, pylon faces, and monument panels.
§ The Challenge
What the customer needed
Six locations in three cities, opening and rebranding at different times over about a year and a half. Each one brought a different problem: a new storefront needing a full sign package, a pylon face that had faded past the point of repair, a space where the previous tenant's lighted sign had to come down first, a shared monument where the panel had to fit an existing tenant layout. Four of the six needed city permits. For an operator running that many openings, the risk is not the design. It is a sign that is not up when the doors are.
§ The Solution
What we did
We handled all six. Kobe brought their own logo and ideas to each one. We made mockups using their colors and preferences, and they approved them before we built anything. In Bloomington: a full lighted package for Kobe Ramen Pho Poke, with a lighted wall sign, storefront channel letters, an arched entry sign, a flex face pylon panel that went in where the previous tenant's panel had been, and a lighted directional sign at one storefront. Lighted signs for Kobe Revolving Sushi Bar. New pylon faces and new LED lighting for Kobe Japanese Steak House, replacing an original face that had faded and started peeling. A lighted building sign and a pylon panel for Craftify DIY Studio, next door to the steak house. In Normal, we removed the previous tenant's lighted building sign for Kobi-eon, then installed a new lighted building sign and a panel on the shared tenant monument. In East Peoria, four lighted signs for Kobe Rotary Sushi Bar, two on the front of the building and two on the back, with electrical connections run and siding repaired before the signs went up. We pulled permits at four of the six locations.
§ The Result
What changed after install
Six locations across three cities carry signage from one vendor. The work came back over about 19 months as locations opened, rebranded, and changed hands.

§ Why This Project Matters
Why this kind of work pays off for a local business
A multi-location operator is not buying a sign. They are buying someone who can get a permit approved in a city they are not standing in, work around a shared monument another tenant already occupies, and get the sign lit before opening day. Doing that once is a project. This operator came back six times across three cities.

What type of sign is best for a business storefront?
It depends on visibility goals and the building. Lighted channel letters and lit cabinet signs perform best for after-dark visibility. Dimensional letters give a premium daytime look.
