Tuxedo-Style Partial Color-Change Wrap for GMC dealership in Morton, IL
Simply Divine Signs & Wraps completed a tuxedo-style partial color-change wrap for Lighthouse GMC in Morton, IL on a 2026 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Denali Ultimate — Avery Dennison Satin Black wrap film across the upper cab, roofline, and cab pillars, with the factory silver body and selected chrome/trim retained.
§ A. The Challenge
What the customer needed
Lighthouse GMC wanted to differentiate a new 2026 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Denali Ultimate on the lot without repainting the truck or altering the factory silver finish. The goal was a two-tone tuxedo appearance — a blacked-out upper cab and pillar treatment that reads as an intentional factory design element rather than an aftermarket color change.
§ B. The Solution
What we did
We planned a partial color-change wrap using Avery Dennison Satin Black wrap film. Coverage was limited to the roof, upper cab, and cab pillars (A, B, and C pillars, plus the window surrounds) so the factory silver body panels and selected chrome and trim pieces remain visible. Panels were cleaned, edges tucked, and pillar wraps set to the panel gaps so the two-tone break lines follow the truck's own body character lines. The wrap film is fully reversible if the dealership or a future owner ever wants the factory finish back.
§ C. The Result
What changed after install
The finished truck reads as a factory two-tone Denali HD. The satin-black roof, upper cab, and pillar treatment frame the tinted glass and let the silver body and Denali chrome trim stand out. Because the underlying paint is untouched, the truck retains its full factory paint warranty and the wrap can be removed cleanly by a qualified installer.

§ E. Why This Project Matters
Why this kind of work pays off for a local business
For a dealership, a well-executed partial color-change wrap is a merchandising tool. It lets the sales team present a heavy-duty truck with a distinctive, factory-integrated look without committing the vehicle to permanent paintwork — and the treatment can be tailored to a specific buyer or reversed cleanly when needed.

What is a tuxedo-style partial color-change wrap?
A tuxedo wrap is a partial color-change where only selected panels — typically the roof, upper cab, and window pillars — are wrapped in a contrasting color. The rest of the vehicle keeps its factory paint. On this Lighthouse GMC Sierra HD Denali Ultimate, the satin-black upper cab and pillars create a factory-style two-tone look while the Sterling Metallic silver body and Denali chrome trim remain untouched.
Does a partial wrap damage the factory paint?
When installed by a qualified installer on a clean, undamaged factory finish and removed within the film manufacturer's recommended service window, high-quality wrap film such as Avery Dennison is designed to be removed without harming the underlying paint. Actual results depend on the condition of the paint, environmental exposure, and how long the film has been in service. Simply Divine Signs & Wraps prepares every surface before install and can coordinate professional removal when the time comes.
Do you offer this treatment on other trucks?
Yes. Tuxedo-style partial wraps, roof and pillar blackouts, chrome delete, and other partial color-change treatments are available across most GMC, Chevrolet, Ford, and Ram truck platforms as well as SUVs. Every project is custom quoted based on the vehicle, coverage area, film selection, and prep requirements. Call (309) 260-3335 or use the contact form to scope your project.
